En 2016 Karrera arrancó su propia compañía estrenando su primera pieza corta #7fm que le hizo girar por todo el mundo con más de 50 representaciones en un año. #7fm se llevó el primer premio en el Certamen DanzaXtrema, ganó el Premio del Público en el IV Certamen del Distrito de Tetuán, fue finalista en el 30º Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid y fue programada en numerosos festivales de la red ACieloAbierto, entre otros. A nivel internacional, #7fm se representó hasta en dos ocasiones en Nueva York, la primera en el White Wave Dance festival en Brooklyn y la segunda en el Battery Dance Festival en Manhattan. Además, la pieza visitó el Palais de Glaces de París y acudió a ciudades como Niza, Bruselas o Hereford (UK).

En 2020, justo antes de la pandemia, estrenó su primera obra larga, No Pleasure, coreografía sobre la insatisfacción y el hartazgo y fue su producción más ambiciosa hasta el momento. No Pleasure formó parte de la Red Danza a Escena en 2021 y se representó en ciudades como Madrid, Málaga, Castellón, Alicante, Ibiza e Irún concluyendo la gira en el Teatro Victoria Eugenia de San Sebastián.

Tras No Pleasure, su próximo paso personal fue dos años más tarde. Atendió un encargo para el Departamento de Cultura de la Embajada de España en Washington D.C. y que gracias a su programa Spain Dances, le permitió montar Table for One para la compañía L.A. Contemporary Dance de Los Ángeles, California. Fue una pieza corta sobre la muerte y el luto, el dolor y la pérdida. No lo sabía entonces, pero sería el germen de The Room Where It Happens, solo que ahora no quiso centrarse exclusivamente en la muerte, tema oscuro, pero sí fue la puerta que le dio acceso a la vasta exploración del mundo interior, donde anida lo triste pero donde también se gestan alegrías.

The Room Where It Happens es su nuevo y último trabajo, formalmente el más ambicioso y cuenta con el apoyo del Centro de Cultura Contemporánea Conde Duque.

In 2016 Karrera started his own company, premiering his first short piece #7fm, which took him around the world with more than 50 performances in one year. #7fm took first prize in the DanzaXtrema Contest, won the Audience Award in the IV Tetuán District Contest, was a finalist in the 30th Madrid Choreographic Contest and was programmed in numerous festivals of the ACieloAbierto network, among others. Internationally, #7fm was performed twice in New York, the first at the White Wave Dance festival in Brooklyn and the second at the Battery Dance Festival in Manhattan. In addition, the piece visited the Palais de Glaces in Paris and went to cities such as Nice, Brussels or Hereford (UK).

In 2020, just before the pandemic, he premiered his first full-length work, No Pleasure, choreography about dissatisfaction and boredom and it was his most ambitious production to date. No Pleasure was part of the Danza a Escena Network in 2021 and was performed in cities such as Madrid, Málaga, Castellón, Alicante, Ibiza and Irún, concluding the tour at the Victoria Eugenia Theater in San Sebastián.

After No Pleasure, his next personal step was two years later. He completed an assignment for the Department of Culture of the Spanish Embassy in Washington D.C. and thanks to her Spain Dances program, it allowed her to put on Table for One for the L.A. company. Contemporary Dance from Los Angeles, California. It was a short piece about death and mourning, pain and loss. I didn't know it then, but it would be the germ of The Room Where It Happens, only now he didn't want to focus exclusively on death, a dark theme, but it was the door that gave him access to the vast exploration of the inner world, where what nests. sad but where joys are also born.

The Room Where It Happens is his new and latest work, formally the most ambitious and has the support of the Conde Duque Contemporary Culture Center.
